Start Ups Condition One is able to create a fully immersive 180 degree video experience able to replicate the feeling of actually being in a certain location. What’s awesome about this is virtually everything; Condition One truly has the ability to change the way we perceive video on our mobile and home devices. They’re attempt to license it out commercially should be a fantastic monetary success, but I would love to see this company use their technology to benefit the entire planet on a cartographic scale; just like Google did with Street View. In an ideal world, Condition One should be licensed out to Google (as well as individual brands) so that there exists a potential to create a truly immersive live-video map of our planet. Of course Google Street View is cool and has the majority of the earth mapped out, but it does so with cached images from employed photographers. If it was a constantly updating immersive live stream, it would be much, much better. Start Ups |
